Christmas 'sandok pera' challenge turns into a romantic marriage proposal

TANZA, Cavite – A fun money game that took a romantic turn is making the rounds online.

During a Christmas eve gathering, Roldan Rivera proposed to his girlfriend, Rachelle Ann Rosales, through the popular "sandok pera" (scoop money) challenge.

"Sandok pera" is a game where a player scoops up money bills from a table into a pot while blindfolded. All the bills that they scoop up will be theirs to keep.

Just as Rosales took off her blindfold to count how much money she got, she was surprised to see Rivera down on one knee, holding an engagement ring, and wearing a shirt that says "Will you marry me?"

Surprised and teary-eyed, Rosales said yes.

According to Rosales' older sister Kristine Rosales-Abbaspour, the proposal made their Christmas Eve celebration even more memorable.
