Ruffa Gutierrez, Herbert Bautista celebrate Christmas together

Rumored sweethearts Ruffa Gutierrez and actor-politician Herbert Bautista are some of the celebrities who shared their holiday snaps this season.

On the TikTok video, which was uploaded on Instagram, Ruffa sat in the seat next to Herbert as they talked to Ramon Christopher on Christmas Eve.

Are Ruffa and Herbert in a relationship?

In November, Kris Aquino revealed that Bistek is in a relationship with a beautiful girl.

Kris did not mention the name of the “beautiful girl” but netizens believe she was referring to Ruffa.

During an interview with Ruffa in February, she said there’s nothing romantic going on between her and Herbert.

“Bakit ba kami natsi-tsismis? Nakakaloka! Siguro nagustuhan nila yung love team namin sa ‘The House Arrest of Us,’ Ang daming naku-cute-an sa amin. Kaya yung mga may crush na maliliit sa akin, nagkaroon ng pag-asa. Usually ang type ko talaga is tall, dark and handsome.”

Ruffa says she has known the former mayor of Quezon City since she was 14 when she became a leading lady in one of his movies. Now they reconnected as friends.

“Nasa 40s na ako and 50s na siya. Ang tawag ko sa kanya is mayor. Minsan Professor Bautista because ang dami ko talagang natututunan sa kanya. I enjoy his company. He’s a versatile actor.”

Ruffa insists that her relationship with Herbert is simply platonic. “Grabe kayo! Walang romantic! Platonic lang. Over naman! Natatawa naman ako sa inyo. Maraming priorities si mayor sa buhay. Wala kaming lovey-dovey, My gosh!”

But the former beauty queen admits Herbert inspires her. “Of course, ini-inspire ako ni mayor. Matalino siyang tao. Intelehente. Si mayor really cares about my family. Inspiring siya because may sense siyang kausap and he gives the best advice. He’s my mentor sa buhay. Close kami pero wala kaming ’til death to us part.”

On Nov. 22, Ruffa took to social media to share her thoughts about privacy and happiness.

On Twitter, Ruffa wrote: “Social media has made us so eager to show and tell, but there is BEAUTY in PRIVACY. Everything isn’t meant to be on display. It’s perfectly fine not to overshare and to keep some things for you. I don’t need validation from strangers because I’m genuinely HAPPY.”

Herbert is running for the Senate in the 2022 national election.
