Here are the K-pop artists with the highest first-week album sales in 2021
Hanteo Music Awards 2021, given by Korea’s Hanteo Chart, announced the 10 K-pop artists with the highest initial “chodong,” or first week, sales in Korea in 2021.
It announced the winners of the Initial Chodong Record Award “given to the artists who recorded top 10 in initial chodong album sales amount in the year of 2021.”

K-pop superstars BTS grabbed first place with their “Butter” CD selling 1.97 million copies in the first week of release.
In second place is K-pop boy band Seventeen whose “Your Choice” album recorded first-week sales of 1.36 million copies while their “Attacca” album had 1.33 million copies.
NCT Dream placed third. Their “Hot Sauce” album sold 1.01 million copies while “Hello Future” had 681,316 copies in the first week of release.
NCT 127 bagged fourth place with their “Sticker” album garnering sales of 929,516 copies in the first week while “Favorite” had 545,872.
EXO landed in fifth place. Their “Don’t Fight the Feeling” album posted sales of 902,210 copies in the first week.

EXO’s Baekhyun is in sixth place with his “Bambi” album recording first-week sales of 868,840 copies.
Rookie boy band ENHYPEN grabbed seventh place. Their “Dimension: Dilemma” album sold 818,716 copies in the first week while “Border: Carnival” had 384,699 copies.
BLACPINK’s Lisa wound up in eighth place. Her solo debut album “Lalisa” recorded sales of 736,221 copies in the first week. Lisa is the only female artist in the top 10.
ATEEZ placed ninth. Their “Zero: Fever Part.3” had 665,350 copies in sales in the first week while “Zero: Fever Part.2” had 304,585.
Stray Kids placed tenth with “NOEASY” recording 641,589 copies in the first week and “Christmas EveL” garnered 471,312 copies.
