Muntinlupa's fully vaccinated individuals now at 371,000; booster shots at 14,000
The number of fully vaccinated individuals in Muntinlupa has reached more than 371,000 and the city government has started administering booster shots under the new shortened interval schedule.
Based on the latest data from the Muntinlupa City government’s City Health Office (CHO), as of Dec. 22, a total of 371,180 individuals have been fully vaccinated, or 97 percent of the target population of 383,021.

By vaccination rate by barangay, Buli has 10,416 individuals who are now fully vaccinated, or 148 percent of the target population of 7,055.
Alabang is next with 55,110 fully vaccinated persons (114 percent of target); Tunasan, 43,383 (109 percent); Ayala Alabang, 16,493 (101 percent); Cupang, 42,885 (97 percent); Putatan, 60,397 (89 percent); Bayanan, 24,570 (88 percent); Poblacion, 65,582 (75 percent); and Sucat (32,783 (75 percent). An additional 19,061 individuals have been fully vaccinated.
A total of 14,397 individuals have also received their booster shots in Muntinlupa.
The Muntinlupa COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac) has also announced the administration of booster shots based on the new guidelines of the Department of Health (DOH).
The DOH announced on Dec. 21 that the interval for booster shots for adults has been reduced to three months from six following the amendment of the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for COVID-19 boosters.
It said that “all adults (ages 18 and above) are now eligible to receive a single-dose booster of COVID-19 vaccine at least three months after the second dose of AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, Sinovac or Sputnik vaccine, or at least two months after Janssen effective 22 December 2021.” Booster shots have not been approved for 12 to 17-year-olds.
The Philippines has recorded three cases of the highly transmissible Omicron variant, all travelers who arrived in the country.
