The Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando will donate P2 million or P500,000 each to the provinces of Bohol, Surigao Del Norte, Cebu, and Palawan that were badly hit by Typhoon Odette.
Fernando, also the chairman of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), approved Resolution No. 5, Series of 2021, for the appropriation of the said fund to be charged to the 2021 Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund under the Donation/Aid to other local government units (LGUs) affected by calamities.
Fernando also said Bulakenyos are praying for those who were displaced by the typhoon especially this Christmas season.
We symphatize with those who were affected by Typhoon Odette especially since it happened before Christmas. We have been able to make a few relaxations on COVID rules because recent COVID-19 data aregood. Again, we are facing another challenge. We have been dealt another blow)," Fernando said.
The Bulacan governor said that he would release a memorandum for the local government units in Bulacan to voluntarily donate or provide assistance to those devastated by Typhoon Odette.
He also said the PGB will launch a donation drive for Bulakenyos who want to help the typhoon victims.
For those who would like to help, they may go directly to the LGUs or they may bring their donations to the Provincial government. We will place a desk in front of the Capitol for this purpose)," he said.
