Red's political instructor arrested, served with 3 more arrest warrants
Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) served three more arrest warrants against an alleged political instructor of the Communist Party of the Philippines- New People's Army who was earlier arrested in Liloy town of Zamboanga del Sur.
Armed with three arrest warrants, CIDG director Maj. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro said his men served the arrest warrant against 58-year-old Romanito Sumasay, also known as “Kumander Guzman” at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 21.
Sumasay was arrested in on December 14 and currently under the custody of Liloy Municipal Police Station.
Ferro said Sumasay is facing charges of multiple frustrated homicide, arson and violation of Republic Act 11188, or Special Protection of Children in Armed Conflict.
"“He serves as a political instructor under the Kalaw Group who is listed as Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur’s top most wanted person,” said Ferro.
