ZAMBOANGA CITY – Joint police and military operatives have arrested in a law enforcement operation one of the most wanted persons here, an official said Tuesday, December 20.
Col. Rexmel Reyes, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested fugitive as Benjamin Sirabani, 46, a resident of Sitio Tungalip in the island village of Tumitus, this city.

Reyes said that Sirabani was arrested in a warrant of arrest operation around Tuesday noon in his residence on Tumitus Island.
Sirabani has a standing warrant of arrest for murder with no recommended bail issued by a local court and is listed as the 8th most wanted person in this city, according to Reyes.
He said the joint team of policemen and marine troops swooped down on Sitio Tungalip on Tumitus Island following reports that Sirabani was hiding there.
He said Sirabani was placed under the temporary custody of the ZCPO’s Station 1.
