The municipality of Pateros in Metro Manila is still coronavirus disease (COVID-19)-free in the last three weeks.
This is according to Dr. Guido David of OCTA Research who released the latest COVID-19 tally for the National Capital Region.

Pateros Mayor Miguel “Ike” Ponce III also announced in a live broadcast on Facebook on Dec. 21 that “it has been nearly a month that we have zero COVID cases in our municipality.”
He reminded residents that they should still follow minimum public health standards amid the threat of the highly transmissible Omicron variant.
Based on OCTA Research’s data for Dec. 14 to 20, Pateros has zero new COVID-19 cases, a status it has maintained since Dec. 1. The numbers are based on the Department of Health’s Data Drop.
Pateros is the only local government unit (LGU) in Metro Manila with zero COVID-19 cases. As such, according to OCTA Research, Pateros has a negative 100 percent growth rate and zero average daily attack rate (ADAR), or the number of new daily COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population from Dec. 14 to 20.
The municipality also has 0.02 infection, or reproduction number as of Dec. 17, 10 percent healthcare utilization rate, and 20 percent intensive care unit (ICU) occupancy as of Dec. 19.
OCTA Research has classified Pateros and 14 other Metro Manila LGUs as very low risk based on its metrics.
It said that NCR had an average of 79 new COVID-19 cases per day from Dec. 14 to 20, a decrease of negative six percent from the previous week. The whole NCR is classified as very low risk.
