The Pasay City government has recorded only one active case of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Dec. 20.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the single active case reported by the City Health Office (CHO) was the lowest recorded number for the year.
Rubiano said the city has two active cases of COVID-19 on Dec. 19. It also logged 21,514 recoveries from the disease.
The mayor said the new active case in the city brings the total number of COVID-19 cases to 22,062. There was no new death recorded.
Rubiano said the city government is doubling its efforts to stop the spread of the virus in the city especially now that the Department of Health (DOH) confirmed three cases of the Omicron variant in the country.
She urged city residents to continue to follow the basic health protocols and the EMI habit (Ensure to always wash your hands, Mask is a must, and Implement physical distancing) as well as limiting interaction to 15 minutes and proper ventilation.
