'Odette' affects lotto operations, delays release of results
The aftermath of typhoon Odette is currently affecting its operations and has resulted in delays in the release of winners, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said.

In a public advisory on Dec. 20, PCSO said that some results of lotto games have yet to be verified and announced “due to the technical and communication problems currently affecting the nationwide operation.”
PCSO explained that one of its system providers, INTRALOT, has suffered during the onslaught of typhoon Odette in the Visayas.
Thus, the “winning tickets for all lottery draws using the INTRALOT system” --- particularly on Dec. 19, 2021 --- “cannot be entered into the system.”
Given this, PCSO said that the “validation and payment of the said winning tickets at our lottery terminals cannot as of yet be effected.”
Meanwhile, PCSO noted that only winning tickets for 2D and 3D using the SGI and DATATRAK system “can be validated and paid” as of this time.
Despite the technical issues, PCSO assured the public that “best efforts are now being undertaken” together with its system providers to address this issue at the soonest possible time.
“Once the communication network system is restored and becomes operational, we will advise through the various media and other communication platforms,” PCSO said.
The PCSO has five major jackpot-bearing-games including the 6/58 Ultra Lotto, 6/55 Grand Lotto, 6/49 Super Lotto, 6/45 Mega Lotto, and 6/42 Lotto.
It also holds four major digit games which include 6D Lotto, 4D Lotto, Swertres (3D) Lotto and EZ2 (2D) Lotto results and STL games.
On its Facebook page, PCSO releases the complete lotto results for 6/58, 6/55, 6/49, 6/45, 6/42, 6D, 4D, Swertres (3D), EZ2 (2D) and STL Lotto draws at 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. as scheduled.
