Christmas is the best gift, especially if we learn to appreciate all we already have, such as the people we love and the people who love us.

This is the gist of Manila Bulletin's Christmas video message for the year 2021, as it honors all the people we lost this year.
The three-minute-long video begins by asking people about their Christmas wishes.
Some wished for material things such Christmas tree filled with gifts, a ticket to Boracay, and a car.
Others, meanwhile, wished for intangible things; love life and gain more Facebook followers.
However, one wish stood out. A girl's wish to be able to celebrate Christmas with her mother again.
Video Director Brent Michael Ignacio said this year's Christmas video intends to remind people that Christmas is about family.
"It tackles the concept of appreciation of our loved ones and that although we may have materialistic/hedonistic wishes this Christmas, nothing can beat having our loved ones beside us at this trying times of the pandemic," Ignacio said.
"The ad is dedicated to everyone's loved ones. For those that they cherished the most. It's dedicated to the people who have also passed away this year, who gave their best at work to support someone until their last breath," he added.
At the end of the video, it pays tribute to the people who passed away this year who have been a huge part of the Manila Bulletin family: Manila Bulletin's former publisher and editor-in-chief, Crispulo Julio "Sir Jun" Icban Jr.; Manila Bulletin's Advertising Department Vice President Arsenio Emmanuel "Sir Arman Ortega Cabrera; and Manila Bulletin's Security Guard Samuel "Diony" Nobleza Dionisio.
