Manila Cathedral special collection for typhoon victims reaches more than P3M
The special collection of the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros for the victims of typhoon "Odette" has already reached more than P3 million

On Tuesday, the Cathedral reported that their special collection already totaled P3,144,717.95 as of Dec. 20.
“Words cannot express our deep gratitude to the Manila Cathedral mass goers and online community for the donations you sent for our brothers and sisters who are greatly in need at this moment," the Manila Cathedral said in a Facebook post.
"We will update our report as donations continue to pour in. We welcome the Divine Child with joy in sharing!" it further read.
The special collection was made in response to the call made by Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula.
"In response to the call of our Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula, all Mass collections and online donations to the Manila Cathedral from the evening of Dec. 18 and the whole day of Dec. 19 will be given to the victims of typhoon Odette," the Cathedral said.
The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) on Monday also called on dioceses to hold a second collection in all Masses on Dec. 25 and 26 for the victims of typhoon "Odette."
