The summons for the three disqualification cases filed against presidential aspirant Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. have already been sent, an official of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Dec. 21, Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon said the summons have already been sent to the e-mail addresses of the election officers (EOs).
"The EOs were directed to print, personally serve the summons to respondent BBM, and to submit Affidavits of service," she said.
"The Provincial Election Supervisor (PES) and Regional Election Director (RED) were also requested to ensure effective service of summons," added Guanzon.
The poll official said the summons "directed respondent BBM to file a verified answer to each petition within five days from receipt, in accordance with the rules."
"Also, the Preliminary Conferences of the said cases were set on January 7, 2022," said Guanzon.
Guanzon is part of the Comelec First Division which is handling the disqualification cases against Marcos Jr. filed by Bonifacio Ilagan, Abubakar Mangelen and Akbayan.
