In an announcement on Tuesday, Dec. 21, the esports organization revealed its S9 roster featuring its key acquisitions led by M2 World Champion and former Bren Esports jungler Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno. Joining him was former Nexplay Evos roamer Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera and former TNC Pro Team EXP laner Frediemar “3martzy” Serafico.

The three had been long rumored to have joined Echo even before the announcement of the departure of Yawi from NXPE and Karltzy from Bren.

“The rumors should now be dead as we're finally revealing the truth. Here's our roster for the upcoming MPL S9, everybody,” said ECHO in the post.

Aside from the three, Ashley Marco “Killuash” Cruz will also be returning to the side of ECHO after taking a break from the professional scene during the Season 8.

The four will add to an already formidable ECHO lineup which retained the services of Christian “Rafflesia” Fajura, Jaymark “Hadess” Lazaro, Jankurt “Kurttzy” Matira, Aaron “AaronQT” Lim, Benedict “BennyQT” Gonzales and Rion “RK3” Kudo.

“We now have Yawi Esports, 3MarTzy, and KarlTzy on our side, with Killuash returning to the scene. This is gonna be an epic season for us, much more action-packed than the last one. We're on a different vibe right now, and we can't wait to show everyone what we're planning behind the scenes,” ECHO added.

ECHO is looking to improve its 5th- 6th place finish in MPL PH Season 8.
