About P1 million worth of illegal drugs were seized from a high-value drug target and four other suspects in Barangay dela Paz, Antipolo City, in an operation conducted by the Marikina City Police Station (MCPS) Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and the Antipolo City Police Station (ACPS) on Monday, Dec. 20.
Col. Benliner Capili, MCPS chief, said one of the suspects -- Jason P. Dalumpines, 21, of Barangay Tumana, Marikina -- is listed as National Capital Region Police Office’s 9th high-value individual.
The other suspects were identified as Cedrick N. Juanillas, 20; Joshua O. Gracilla, 22; Marco B. Beatriz, 21; and Kristina G. Reblora, 21.
The buy-bust operation against the five suspects was led by Lt. Antonio G. Balaois Jr. of the MCPS-SDEU, and Maj. Federico P. Halog Jr. of the NCRPO. It was coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the Stations Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), the Tactical Motorcycle Rider Unit (TMRU), and the City Drug Enforcement Team (CDET).
According to the MCPS report, the sting was launched when a confidential informant tipped off the suspects’ illegal drug trade.
Confiscated from the suspects were seven kilos of suspected marijuana and 23 grams of suspected shabu with a total street value of around P1 million.
The suspects are currently detained at the MCPS custodial facility. They will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
