Finals MVP Oheb deflects credit to teammates for stellar M3 showing

Kiel “Oheb” Soriano may have been the most consistent player for Blacklist International in its M3 World Championship title run especially during its Grand Finals clash against Onic Philippines, but the 17-year-old gold laner knew very well that he won’t be able to do it without the help of his team.

Oheb was named Finals MVP following stellar performances on his signature heroes Clint, Natan and Beatrix during the Grand Finals where his Blacklist squad swept Onic Philippines, 4-0.

The pride of Tarlac was a vital piece in that seamless Finals run with a 5-5-10 showing on the Clint in Game 1, 8-1-8 on the Beatrix in Game 2, 3-4-2 on the Natan in Game 3 and another 6-1-3 line on the Beatrix in the series-clinching Game 4.

Oheb, now more known as ‘The Filipino Sniper’ in the international scene for his head-turning plays on the marksman heroes throughout the M3, was quick to deflect the credit to his teammates when asked about his performance during the team’s post-match interview.

“Coming to M3 I didn’t know that I was gonna play well, I didn’t expect my performance to be this well or to be good. My teammates helped me a lot for what I have achieved,” said Oheb.

“They helped me a lot get this. I want to celebrate this with them because they are the one who helped me get this. I couldn’t do this without them,” he added.

Oheb was also a key cog for Blacklist which recovered from its upper bracket hiccup where they lost to BloodThirstyKings. The squad went on to win all of its matches in the lower bracket, eliminating contenders like Onic Indonesia, Evos SG, RRQ Hoshi and BTK along the way to reach the Grand Finals.

Aside from his part in the P15 million cash prize which Blacklist won, Oheb also had his own P500,000 prize for winning the Finals MVP.
