DSWD assures 'sufficient' resources to sustain disaster operations; reports P944-M relief stockpiles, standby funds
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said on Monday, Dec. 20, the victims of typhoon Odette will not be left in the cold, as it assured the public that it has enough resources to sustain the ongoing disaster operations.

The DSWD said it has enough relief items for distribution to the families affected by Odette.

It reported more than P944 million worth of stockpiles and standby funds.
“As of December 20, the Department maintains stockpiles and standby funds amounting to more than P944 million,” it said in a statement on Monday.
“Over 377,000 family food packs are also prepositioned in strategic locations around the country.”
While the DSWD assured that it has sufficient stockpiles and standby funds, it is accepting cash and in-kind donations from both local and international donors.
