2 drug suspects arrested in Malabon City buy-bust

Two drug suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Malabon City Police Station (MCPS) on Sunday, Dec. 19.

Police identified the suspects as Jamica Pamandanan, 24, and Vicente Mendiola, 33, both jobless and residents of Brgy. Portrero, Malabon City.

Police Lt. Alexander dela Cruz, SDEU officer-in-charge, and Police Col. Lt. Albert Barot, MCPS assistant chief of police, led the buy-bust operation at around 3:00 a.m. on University Ave. in Brgy. Potrero.

According to the report, the duo were nabbed after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer.

The operatives also recovered from them 9 grams of shabu worth around P61,200.

Pamandanan and Mendiola will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
