San Juan leads groundbreaking for another barangay hall

The San Juan City local government held on Wednesday, Dec. 1, the groundbreaking rites for one of its newest infrastructure projects as it aims to further improve its services to its residents amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, together with his sister Atty. Bel Zamora, Vice Mayor Warren Villa, and other city government officials and members of Team Makabagong San Juan, led the groundbreaking of Barangay Isabelita's newest multi-purpose barangay hall.

Zamora said the 4-storey barangay hall will feature a roof deck. The project’s total cost is P18 million.

He also lauded all the city government officials and employees for gallantly performing their duties despite the hardships brought about by the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Zamora said that the San Juan Medical Center (SJMC), as well as other hospitals and medical facilities in San Juan, continue to ramp up their medical services and equipment amid the looming threat of the Omicron variant which is said to be more transmissible than the Delta variant.

According to the local government unit (LGU), San Juan City has recorded 31 active cases as of Nov. 27 with 15,007 recoveries and 328 deaths.
