President Duterte led on Wednesday night, Dec. 1 the traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony of the Office of the President at Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañang Palace.
Accompanying the President was his partner Honeylet Avanceña, Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go, and Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea.
Together, the First Couple pressed a button to light up the Christmas tree to the delight of a small crowd that gathered in the area. Duterte delivered a short speech afterward.
The Presidential Chorale also performed during the ceremony.
