How Luis Manzano reacted to Edu Manzano's newfound love with Cherry Pie Picache

Veteran host Luis Manzano admitted that he was shocked finding out that his dad Edu Manzano and seasoned actress Cherry Pie Picache are now a couple.



In an interview with G3 San Diego, Luis said: “Sobrang we were caught off guard. No one saw it coming. I don’t even think Dad and Tita Pie saw it coming.”



Apparently, Luis learned about the brewing romance of Edu and Cherry Pie when a friend took a group photo and sent it to him.



"He was with Daddy and Tita Pie. Date night yata sila. So I sent the picture back to Daddy. I said, ‘Uy daddy, happy boy ka.’ Sabi niya, ‘Yes anak, happy-ng happy,’” Luis shared.



The funny guy teased: “Kung maibabalik ang prangkisa ng ABS-CBN next year, baka si Daddy at Tita Pie, itapat sa KathNiel.”



Luis said that during his first teleserye "Kampanerang Kuba," to some degree, Cherry Pie was his stepmom.



Asked what married advice Edu imparted to him, Luis answered: “It would boil down to the same thing, kung paano niya nirerespeto ang kanyang kasama. That’s one thing na nakikita ko kay Daddy. How he takes care of his partner talaga. Nakikita ko rin naman how happy he is with Tita Pie.”



A few days ago, when Edu confirmed his romance with Cherry Pie after rumors started circulating on social media.

Their recent cozy snaps in New York fueled talks they’re making sweet music together.

What added to the fire was Edu and former girlfriend Iryne Garcia are no longer following each other’s Instagram accounts.

The two actors are working together in the Kapamilya series “Marry Me, Marry You” as love interests.
