Execration falls to Motivate.Trust Gaming in Winter Tour debut

Execration started the DPC SEA Winter Tour on the wrong foot after falling to Motivate.Trust Gaming, 2-0, in its tournament debut on Wednesday, Dec 1.

The all-Filipino quintet of Execration never really got their bearings going in the two-game sweep as the Thailand-based MG.Trust pounced on the lackluster performance from the Philippine-based crew.

The Thais went off to a hot start as they took a 12-4 kill lead as early as the 14-minute mark of the series opener. Execration tried to stage a comeback with crucial pick-offs behind the efforts of Mark Anthony "Bob" Urbina but the lead was just too much for the Filipinos to overcome.

Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong spearheaded MG.Trust’s 31-9 onslaught with a spotless 9-0-7 showing on the Wraith King.

MG.Trust continued to roll in the second game as Poomipat "Fearless" Trisiripani and Natthaphon "Masaros" Ouanphakdee provided a deadly one-two punch for the Thais. Fearless went wild with a 15-2-13 performance on the Queen of Pain while Masaros added 11-1-23 KDA on the Dark Seer.

MG.Trust closed out the series with a dominant 41-13 win.

Bob was the lone bright spot for Execration with nine kills, and one assists against six deaths on the Ember Spirit.

Execration hopes to bounce back when it faces fellow PH team OB Esports x Neon on Dec 8 while MG.Trust will try to score back-to-back wins against Filipino squads when it tangles with TNC Predator on Saturday, Dec 4.
