Winners of Mrs. Philippines Int'l 2021 pageant crowned

Leona Luisa Andersen of Olongapo City

A 27-year-old mom, who won 1st runner-up at the Reina Ng Tahanan competition on “It’s Showtime” recently, was crowned Mrs. Philippines International 2021 during a pageant held at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila in Paranaque City on Dec. 18.

Leona Luisa A. Andersen, 27, shareholder at Le Gastro, represented Olongapo City in the competition. She will represent the Philippines at the Mrs International 2021 pageant in Singapore next year.

Andersen was born and raised in Alberta, Canada. She's a BS psychology graduate, has a license in Basic Life Support and Basic First Aid. She is musically-minded, into arts and reading.

The beauty queen from Olongapo City said she joined the MPI to get really active in doing charity and sharing with those in need. "Since I was in college, this was one thing that I really got active in, but through simple ways due to lack of funds. But now, it is one of my priorities. I also joined the pageant to be able to inspire not only women but my fellow moms."

Pageant expert Ferdinand Abejon led distinguished members of the board of judges in this year's competition.

Now on its fourth year, pageant aficionados consider Mrs. Philippines International as the premiere pageant for married women and single mothers in the Philippines.

The pageant is organized by 3Stars Productions led by the husband-and-wife team of Roldan Ero Aris and Maan Cueto Aris.
