3 drug suspects fall in Taguig

Three drug suspects were arrested by Taguig police in two buy-bust operations in the city on Dec. 17 and 18.

The Taguig police’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted a buy-bust operation on Dec. 17 in Purok 6A, Barangay Street, Bgy. Lower Bicutan, Taguig on Dec. 17 that resulted in the arrest of suspect Ronald Hight, 48.

Recovered from the suspect were nine plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing about 12.5 grams with an estimated value of P85,000, P200 buy-bust money and two P1,000 bills.

The DEU conducted another buy-bust operation on Dec. 18 along Maestrang Pinang Street, Samama Compound in Bgy. Ligid-Tipas, Taguig. Operatives arrested Roberto del Monte, 51, and Dave Dimaguila, 21, both residents of Taguig.

Confiscated from them were five plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing about 3.8 grams with a value of P25,840 and P200 buy-bust money.

The three suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). They are detained at the Taguig Station Detention Management Unit while recovered pieces of evidence were turned over to Southern Police District Forensic Unit for analysis.
