Presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo on Saturday, Dec. 18, shared that she got chills and an on-and-off fever after getting her coronavirus disease (COVID-19) booster jab.
The Vice President received her booster shot at a mall in Cubao, Quezon City on Friday morning, Dec. 17 before flying to Bohol to oversee the relief operations there in the aftermath of the devastation caused by typhoon "Odette".
“Been receiving messages asking how I am after my booster shot yesterday morning. Heto, 2nd night na ng (I got) chills (kagabi, magdamag ) and 2nd day na din ng (also on and off fever. Grabe din sakit ng ulo pero (The headache was severe but it’s only) tonight lang nag umpisa (that it started). Nag every 4 hours ako ng paracetamol (I took paracetamol every 4 hours),” Robredo said.
She shared that she had United States (US) vaccine brand Moderna for her booster shot. For her first and second shots, which she had last August, Robredo had Astrazeneca.

“Wala ako noon naramdaman na (That time, I didn’t experience) side effects,” she said of her initial two doses.
Robredo subsequently went to Cebu to assess the situation on the ground. She was later seen visiting two evacuation centers and touching base with affected residents.
The Vice President told displaced residents that she will coordinate with local officials to plan how they can help them rebuild the homes that they lost to Odette.

Robredo’s spokesman Barry Gutierrez also shared that the lady official plans to visit other typhoon-ravaged areas such as Leyte, Surigao, and Negros in the coming days.
