Typhoon Odette, the country’s 15th tropical cyclone in 2021, has exited the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, Dec. 18.
In a Facebok post, the state weather bureau said that typhoon Odette exited PAR at 12:40 p.m.
Based on PAGASA’s 36-hour forecast issued at 11 a.m., the weather disturbance is expected to continue moving northwestward of Pag-asa Island, Kalayaan in Palawan. Throughout the forecast period, the typhoon is seen to remain in the typhoon category with maximum sustained winds of up to 120 kilometers per hour (kph).
