Ospital ng Paranaque gets new X-ray laboratory, ultrasound and CT-scan machines

Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez led the blessing and opening of newly installed pharmacy, X-ray laboratory, ultrasound and CT-scan machines at the Ospital ng Paranaque (OSPAR 1) on Dec. 17.

Olivarez said the opening of such laboratories was made through a public-private partnership between OSPAR and the Premier 101 Health Care Management Inc.

He said the city government is improving the public hospitals in the city -- OSPAR 1 and 2 -- under the management of Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan to give better health services to the city residents.

The mayor said a dialysis center will also be opened in the first quarter of 2022.

Pagsisihan said the city government is offering free laboratory examinations to patients who need them.

He said charges will be taken through Philhealth, Malasakit Center, the Department of Health (DOH) medical assistance program, and the city government

Pagsisihan also announced that the two hospitals have recorded zero COVID-19 cases for two weeks.

He said during the surge of the virus, OSPAR 2 was used as a temporary treatment and monitoring facility for COVID-19 patients .
