Onic PH sends BTK crashing to lower bracket, punches first M3 Grand Finals ticket
Onic Philippines gave BloodThirstyKings a harsh reality check with a dominant 3-0 sweep in their upper bracket finals match to punch the first ticket to the Grand Finals of the Mobile Legend Bang Bang M3 World Championship at the Suntec Singapore Convention Centre on Saturday, Dec. 18.

Fueled by the earlier comments of BTK’s Mobazane saying that the PH bets were the weaker team, Onic PH stamped its class all over the NA squad in the three-game stretch.
“Minamaliit kasi nila kami eh para sakin dito sa World Championship, wala ka dapat maliitin lalo lang nila niliyaban yung nagbabaga na 'yung apoy,” said Onic captain Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy.
Those comments truly lit the fire on Onic as it put the Land of Dawn ablaze with a dominant showing against BTK to cap a perfect 9-0 upper bracket run.
Onic had a perfect draft in Game 1 with Hatred’s Pharsa and Markyyy’s Kimmy providing the magic damage and the pokes while Baloyskie on the Natalia and Kairi on the Paquito did the clean up against BTK players.
The continuous pokes and aggression from the PH bets put the clamps on Moibazane’s jungle Natan and FwdChicken’s Brody, preventing the Americans from dragging the game and draw the series first blood with a 17-5 win in just 14-minutes.
Hatred anchored the offense for Onic with a 5-0-5 KDA while Kairi on the Paquito unleashed a 3-0-5 KDA.
Game 2 was a similar case for Onic with Markyyy’s Pharsa and Baloyskie’s Natalia setting the tone with the early pressure on FwdChicken’sn gold lane Aldous. With Onic putting a stop on the Aldous, the rest of BTK were forced to react to the top lane which allowed Kairi on his signature Ling to get the free reigns on the jungle.
Onic’s split strategy was also in full display as it asserted the map control with Dlarskie’s Gloo and Hatred’s Chou keeping the bottom lane and mid lane free flowing.
As a result, Onic’s heroes snowballed quickly and moved a win away from the Grand Finals after a 14-6 Game 2 triumph.
The Filipinos showed no let up in Game 3 as BTK proved to be inferior to Onic during the team clash with Gerald “Dlarskie” Trinchera manning the frontline with his petrify Yu-Zhong. With Dlarskie up front, Onic’s double-marksman setup on Markyyy’s Natan and Hatred’s Beatrix freely dished out the damage from afar against BTK heroes.
With the win, Onic assured itself of at least a Top 2 finish and now awaits the winner of the lower bracket finals which could either be BTK or the winner between Blacklist International and EVOS Singapore.
