Beatrice Luigi Gomez wants you to help Typhoon Odette victims
Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez recently shared her loved ones' experience facing Typhoon Odette.
On Instagram, the 70th Miss Universe Top 5 finalist shared that she was on FaceTime with her sister and mom when the storm was just about to hit her hometown in Cebu.
"It only took minutes from a happy conversation to shift into a ghastly phone call as I heard them struggle the entire night," she said.
Thankfully, her family is now safe.
She also expressed gratitude to a certain person, whom she said stayed up with her to contact her family, making sure that they’re safe amid the storm.

"It’s only a few days away until Christmas and yet my heart bleeds for Cebu. My family’s home is just one of many devastated by one of the strongest typhoons that hit Cebu and the surrounding provinces," Beatrice shared.
"I am now knocking on your hearts to help me in partnership with @simplysharefoundation and the Naval Reserve Center of Eastern Visayas to respond to this calamity and bring back hope and light to my fellow Sugboanons. Your simple act of kindness means a lot."
A few hours later, she updated:
"Thank you so much everyone for the bayanihan spirit... as of 5:00pm today we received Php 49, 327.24 thru Gcash. Bank updates will soon be announced once internet connection is stable in Cebu. Daghan salamat (heart emoji)."
