WHO'S THAT GIRL? Chito Miranda, Neri Naig introduce daughter

There's a new addition to the growing family of celebrity couple Chito Miranda and Neri Naig.

On Instagram, the Parokya ni Edgar frontman revealed that they are adopting Neri's niece, Pia.

This he shared with the public after many netizens bombarded their family photos with comments concerning the teenage girl.

Chito wrote, "@mrs.priya25 yup...she will soon be as we are in the process of making her ours, officially."

Note that Chito penned an appreciation post recently as he and Neri marked their seventh wedding anniversary.

"Cheers from The Mirandas!!! Wala si Cash kasi sya yung kumuha ng pic. Joke lang, syempre...na-una na sya sa room kasi maaga syang nalasing," he wrote as caption.

"I just love having a family. (heart emoji) Sobrang enjoy lang. Para kang may permanent barkada na kapakanan at kaligayahan lang nila ang priority mo. It makes everything in life so simple," he added.

Chito admitted that he had no idea it would be "this much fun."

"Well, actually, sinabihan na ako dati ng pinsan ko na super saya nga daw, pero I guess wala pa sa sistema ko dati kasi I was young, and had different priorities. Kanya-kanyang timing lang talaga, I guess...and you should never let anyone (including your parents at yung makulit mo na Tita), rush you into things," he said. "Yung mga tipong "o...bakit di ka pa mag-asawa?" or "o...di pa ba kayo magbe-baby?" You'll know when you're ready. And when you eventually are, sobrang saya ng experience kasi yun na mismo yung gusto mo sa buhay."

"Kung hindi pareho yung trip mo sa trip ng iba, at may iba kang gusto sa buhay (example, maging single for life at mag-travel lang forever), don't let anyone pressure you into doing something else," he continued. "Life should be fun, at ikaw lang ang tanging nakaka-alam at makakapagsabi kung ano ang magpapasaya sayo. For me, more than anything, eto na yun."

Meanwhile, Neri also celebrated their latest milestone by sharing their family photo and expressing gratitude to Chito, whom she described as the "best" father and partner.

"Happy 7th year wedding anniversary, Dad! I love you so much! You are the best Dad and the best husband! Wala na kaming mahihiling pa. Thank you for making us happy EVERYDAY. Palagi mo kaming pinapatawa at hindi mo nakakalimutang ipakita kung gaano mo kami kamahal. SEVEN YEARS NA? WOW! matibay tibay helmet ko, haha! Joke lang! Mahal na mahal na mahal kita!!!"

In the comment section, Neri also cleared rumors about Pia.

"Thank you sa pagmahahal at pagbati sa aming anibersayo. Ramdam ko ang pagmamahal po ninyo. At sa mga Maritess, Pia is our daughter. Every child deserves a home and love. Period. Ok na? Gets na iyan? Grabe ang pagiging tsismosa ng ibang tao. Nahusgahan at nagawan na ng mga kwento. Merry Christmas!"

Chito and Neri have two sons, five-year-old Miggy Alfonso and two-month-old Cash.
