Onic PH's IG page gets taken down due to alleged mass reporting

Onic Philippines' Instagram page got taken down after an alleged mass reporting of the account, the esports organization announced on Thursday, Dec 16.

“Mga ka-ONIC, totoo ang balita: as of this morning ay na-takedown ang aming official Instagram page due to mass reports incurred by our account. Any Instagram pages claiming to be our new account is fake. Our one and only Instagram account is @onicphilippines. We have reached out to Instagram to fix this issue,” said Onic PH in an official statement posted through its official Facebook page.

The esports organization expressed its dismay over the ‘digital attacks’ and had urged the Mobile Legends Bang Bang community to refrain from doing such acts to keep a healthy environment for the community

“We at ONIC Philippines do not condone this kind of digital attacks aimed at our social media channels. We urge the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang community to support us in this plight. Let’s all respect each other as fans of the same game we love to play and watch," the post added.

“We're encouraging everyone to refrain from mass reporting an organization/person so as we could maintain a healthy environment for the esports community.”

Onic PH was coming off a stunning 3-0 victory over Indonesian team RRQ Hoshi in the ongoing M3 World Championship before the incident happened. Incidentally, Blacklist International’s Instagram page also got taken down after winning over RRQ in the semifinals of the MPL Invitational last month.

Onic Esports, Onic PH’s mother organization, said it is already working to get the account back.

“To our fans in the Philippines, as you are all aware, @onicphilippines Instagram account has been temporarily disabled by system due to massive reports. Please be patient we are currently working on getting it back online as soon as possible. We thank you for continuous support,” said Onic Esports.

Onic PH’s Instagram account remains unavailable as of press time.
