The government's One Hospital Command Center (OHCC) said it is receiving at least 200 calls per day amid the decreasing number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country.
OHCC Officer Dr. Marylaine Padlan said they were receiving a “mixture” of calls every day.
Mayroon pa rin mga nagri-request ng hospital assistance (So, we are receiving an average of 200 plus calls, these calls are a mixture of new cases, follow-ups, and inquiries, while some request hospital assistance),” she said on Friday, Dec. 17.
There are days when there are more non-COVID related inquiries. Some are requesting hospital assistance, there are other days when we have the same number of calls about COVID and non-COVID related cases),” she added.
Most of the calls related to COVID-19 came from the National Capital Region, Calabarzon, Central Luzon, and Central Luzon, said Padlan.
Last September, the OHCC reported then that they were receiving at least 300 to 400 calls daily.
