The number of Muntinlupa City’s total active coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases has gone down to single-digit level.
Based on the latest tally by the Muntinlupa City government’s City Health Office, as of Dec. 16, there are only seven active COVID-19 cases in the entire city from 13 active cases recorded on Dec. 15.

This is the lowest since the spike in COVID-19 cases in Muntinlupa last year and the first time that the total number of active cases went down to a single digit.
Of the nine barangays in Muntinlupa, five have zero active COVID-19 cases. These are Barangays Putatan, Bayanan, Alabang, Buli, and Sucat.
Out of the seven active cases, Poblacion, Ayala Alabang and Cupang have two each while Tunasan has one.
The seven active cases are out of 27,596 confirmed cases, 27,010 recoveries, and 579 deaths since last year.
Muntinlupa registered zero new COVID-19 cases, six new recoveries, and zero deaths on Dec. 16.
Even though the COVID-19 cases in the city have continued to decrease, the Muntinlupa City government still reminded the public to still follow minimum public health standards especially that the Philippines now has Omicron variant cases.
The city government urged people to stay home if they have no important things to do outside their residence, wear face masks, avoid crowded places. observe physical distancing and frequently wash their hands.
It also encouraged residents to register and get vaccinated as protection against the severe effects of COVID-19.
