Here are some donation drives and relief operations you should check out

It is just days before Christmas and many parts of the country are now preparing for the festive season. But the same cannot be said for the people in the Visayas and Mindanao regions with the devastation brought by Typhoon Odette.

Due to its strength, PAGASA has issued a Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4 warning in areas in the said regions on Dec. 16 2021, causing widespread floods, power outages, and destruction of establishments. These affected areas include Southern Leyte, Bohol, portions of Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Negros Occidental in Visayas, and Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte in Mindanao.

Currently, organizations are doing donation drives to send help to those who are affected by the typhoon. Scroll down below to see where you can send assistance, cash or in-kind, to support their relief operations.

Ateneo de Manila University

Through its Disaster Response and Management Team, Ateneo Dream Team, the university calls for cash donations that will be used to provide food for the communities and evacuees.

Lokal Lab

Lokal Lab, a registered Siargao-based NGO, accepts cash and in-kind donations such as canned food, appropriate clothes, medicine, rice, blankets, masks, alcohol, sanitary products, and dog food at its drop-off points in Cubao, Congressional, Taguig, Quezon City, and Mandaluyong, among others.

Foundation for Philippine Progress, Inc.

Foundation for Philippine Progress, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that secures quality health, education, and basic human rights for all Filipinos. Currently, it is working with its partner organizations in assisting at evacuations, organizing first aid teams, and putting together relief packages.

Art Relief Mobile Kitchen
