Andi Eigenmann, Philmar Alipayo ask for prayers amid onslaught of Typhoon Odette
Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo could only ask for prayers for their townmates in Siargao when Typhoon Odette made landfall there.
According to Andi, they were actually supposed to go there but due to the inclement weather, their flight was canceled.
Note that based on their previous Instagram posts, Andi is in Manila with her children: Ellie, Lilo, and Koa, while Philmar is in an out-of-town surfing competition.
The actress has received updates about their home being damaged by the typhoon.
Andi admitted feeling "very worried" about their loved ones on the island.
"Hope this passes soon," she wrote last night, Dec. 16.
She also uploaded a video showing trees falling in their area.
"Hope those living near the ocean have evacuated. Keep safe Siargao!"

Philmar, on the other hand, shared a clip that was sent to him by his family there.
"Water is already this high while it still lowtide. Hightide is at 4 p.m. please evacuate na those people who live near the ocean. Please. Please. Please," he wrote yesterday.
Then a few hours later he update followers that there's no more internet signal on the island.
"Please pray for my island home Siargao."
As of writing, Dec. 17, 6 a.m., Philmar said there's still no news from loved ones.
"I hope everyone is ok."
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that the Typhoon “Odette” (international name: “Rai”) has further weakened and is now over the Panay Gulf as it is headed for another landfall over the northern or central part of Palawan Friday afternoon, Dec. 17.
Signal No. 1 remains raised in Surigao del Norte.
