The two local fishermen who were reported missing in Negros Occidental have already been rescued, the local police force said on Friday, Dec 17.
Police Brig. Gen. Flynn Dongbo said coordination with other police units and local government units were made as soon as they received reports that two residents of Sitio Pasil in Barangay Enclaro, Binalbagan town were missing on December 15.
They were identified as 29-year old Jovel Tipon and Noel dela Cruz. They were reported missing when typhoon "Odette" entered the country's territory.
Dongbo said the two were rescued by personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard in Cauayan, Negros Occidental on Thursday, Dec. 16.
The two victims were subjected to medical check up and will be turned over to their respective families, according to Dongbo.
