On top of the Pasig City government’s cash gift of P 3,000 to Pasig senior citizens, Barangay San Antonio (BSA) went the extra mile by adding P 500 to the cash gift.
An additional P500 will be given to about 900 senior residents of BSA for a total amount of P450,000.
In 2020, there were about 750 registered seniors who received the P 500 cash gift.

The additional P500 cash gift will be brought to the seniors’ homes so as to minimize the risk of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infection.
They may also claim it in the barangay hall, according to BSA Chairman Raymond Lising.
“By giving them cash gifts, we’re providing them freedom to buy what they need this Christmas Season...sa ating mga lolo at lola sa BSA, nawa ay maipadama natin ang diwa ng pasko sa panahon ng pandemya (To the seniors of BSA, may we all feel the Christmas spirit in this time of pandemic),” said Lising.
Meanwhile, BSA also supplemented Pasig City’s “Pamaskong Handog 2021” holiday gift bag distribution by delivering 10-kilo sacks of rice on top of the gift bags to over 7,000 BSA residents on Nov. 29.
