'Grateful Tuesdays' spreads holiday cheer to solo parents

Chemist-philanthropist Pinky Tobiano continues to share blessings during the holidays through the online show "Grateful Tuesdays."
"Grateful Tuesdays" has already given assistance to 120,000 families during the pandemic.
The recent gift-giving event happened at the covered court of Barangay Pag-ibig sa Nayon on Pineda St., Balintawak, Quezon City last Dec. 11.
That day, the recipients of the Christmas gifts were solo parents.
“This is a special day for me because we gave help to 200 solo parents,” said Pinky.
Councilor Bernard Herrera supported the charity work with the help of sponsors such as Gerry Sy, of Super Sam; Nikki Sarmiento, EVP for Vitarich, Cook’s Fresh Chicken, Rocko’s Fried Chicken, and Mega Sardines.
Lending glitter to the event were celebrities Nicole Cordoves, Aaron Villaflor and Kapuso actor Gil Cuerva.
“All we want is to spread cheer to solo parents who are alone in raising their own children. May they feel the love of Christmas despite this pandemic. I have no political motives for doing this. No plans of running whatsoever. I just want to help ease their burdens and make solo parents feel happy during the holidays,” added Pinky. “A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles."
