Bulacan PNP all set for Christmas rush

With just one week till Christmas, the Bulacan Philippine National Police (PNP) remains vigilant to handle security and public safety problems during the holiday season in accordance with "IMPLAN 29/2018" (Ligtas Paskuhan 2021).

Bulacan's top cop, Col. Manuel M. Lukban Jr. said the Bulacan PNP is enforcing preventive anti-crime measures to address crimes and ensure immediate police response in areas where street crimes are known to frequently transpire during the Christmas season.

He also directed all city and municipality Chiefs of Police to conduct frequent patrols and maintain peace and order in their respective areas.

In all bus terminals and areas of convergence, security checks and police presence are being reinforced, as part of the proactive efforts to improve police operations. Stringent anti-criminality awareness programs are also being undertaken in barangays and business enterprises.

A total of 840 PNP personnel were mobilized in areas of convergence. Route Safety Marshals were also deployed and Motorist Assistance Hubs were manned by 89 PNP personnel in major thoroughfares and secondary roads all throughout the province until the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6, 2022.

Under the New Normal, the Bulacan PNP provides airtight security and other public safety services to maintain the stringent implementation of community quarantine and minimum public health requirements during the Holiday Season.

Lukban said the Bulacan police will ensure the strict enforcement of preventive measures against crime and the strict implementation of health protocols to achieve a safe and peaceful yuletide season.
