800 families relocated to Valenzuela City's 3rd Disiplina Village
Around 800 informal settler families (ISF) in Valenzuela City will be relocated to the third Disiplina Village in Brgy. Lingunan following its completion on Thursday, Dec. 16.
The village is the local government's project, in partnership with Gawad Kalinga and the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), to provide housing to families living in the city's danger zones.
It was first inaugurated in October 2020.
In a Facebook post, Mayor Rex Gatchalian said that the families who will move into the village “will now live in a space that is safe and with dignity.”
He added that the city will continue its 4th and 5th housing projects in barangays Arkong Bato and Ugong 2.
The first two Disiplina Villages are located in Brgy. Bignay and Brgy. Ugong, where around 4000 families were relocated.
