Two men were arrested by police for possession of a firearm and suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in Taguig City on Dec. 16.
Taguig police identified the suspects as Alexis Angelo Patricio, 25, and Ishmael John Ishimatsu, 24, both residing in Bgy. New Lower Bicutan, Taguig.

The two were arrested on MLQ Street in front of Ricardo P. Cruz Sr. Elementary School in New Lower Bicutan at around 1:30 p.m.
Members of Taguig Police’s Hagonoy Sub-Station 9 together with the Mobile Patrol Unit and Taguig Peace and Order Unit personnel were conducting a joint “Oplan Galugad” in the area when they caught the suspects in possession of a firearm and shabu.
Confiscated from them were one .45-caliber Armscor pistol without serial number, two pieces of live ammunition, one magazine and a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing about 1.39 grams worth P9,452.
The suspects were turned over to Taguig Police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit for investigation.
According to the police, the suspects were involved in numerous robberies, thefts and carnapping incidents in Taguig.
Patricio is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) while Ishimatsu for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
