While the vaccination against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is targeted to cover a great majority of the population, the defense against the common flu is seen to benefit residents in the province as donations of influenza (flu) vaccines continue to pour in.

The office of Rizal Governor Rebecca Ynares, in a Facebook post, said pharmaceutical company Zuellig Pharma Corporation has donated 10,000 doses of flu vaccines to the local government units of Baras, Montalban, Antipolo City, and Binangonan recently.
With the donation, the provincial government is encouraging the residents of the four localities to avail of the flu vaccines as soon as possible.
The flu vaccine donation of Zuellig Pharma Corporation to the four Rizal localities was supervised by the firm’s representatives.
Flu vaccines are normally administered in the respective barangays through the rural health units of the municipal or city government.
City government spokesperson, former Antipolo Mayor Dr. Junjun Ynares said the city government has been administering the free flu vaccination to city residents in the rural health units of every barangay in Antipolo City.
