PAL launches digital gift card

Philippine Airlines (PAL) just launched its "Dear PAL e-Gift Card", a digital card enabling users to purchase flights or PAL Travel Extras as gifts to others.

Users can buy the cards through the flag carrier's website, http://giftcard.philippineairlines.com, or through the mobile app, the PAL ticket office and reservations hotline.

Furthermore, they can send the card with the design of their choice and add personalized messages.

The use of e-gifts is rising in popularity, not only nationwide but across the region, especially in the last two years.

Virtual gifting of flights is also expected to cater to the pent-up travel demand as airlines bank on “revenge travel” for their recovery by next year.

Already, PAL has boosted flights across its domestic route network this month in response to increasing demand.
