"Philippine Airlines will keep a close watch on weather forecasts for the airports we serve in central and southern Philippines, in case we need to cancel or adjust other flights and routes," it added.
PAL also advised its customers affected by flight cancellations to check the status of their journey by logging on to www.philippineairlines.com to visit the flight status section, or checking further advisories on its Official PAL Facebook page.
It also advised those who were affected not to go to the airport and instead avail of rebooking and refund options:
.1. Convert your ticket to Travel Credits equivalent to the unused base fare of your ticket. Voucher validity is one year from date of issuance.
2. Rebook or Reroute your ticket to another flight with available space within 60 days from the original flight in the same booking class or higher within the same cabin class.
3. Refund ticket without penalties, excluding Ticketing Service Charge
PAL said its clients may access the online self-reaccommodation tool for flight rebooking. Simply click the Manage Booking Tab and then select the Flight Disruptions radio button in our homepage https: www.philippineairlines.com.
"If your contact details are in our reservations records, you will be informed of the status of your flights via e-mail, telephone call or SMS/text," it said in a statement.
