Motorcycle-riding robbers shoot guard dead in Caloocan

A 31-year-old security guard was shot dead by two motorcycle-riding men who robbed a delivery company in Barangay 135, Caloocan City on Monday, Dec. 13.

Police identified the victim as Joel Dolores.

Barangay executive officer Victor Bulaong said Dolores was manning his post at the delivery company when the suspects arrived and pretended to bring in supplies.

Moments after, however, the suspects announced the holdup and shot the guard.

The suspects took away the cash register and fled together with an accomplice who arrived later on board another motorcycle.

Police said the suspects left behind a box of bao or coconut husks. (Cherrylin Caacbay)
