Marikina city opens 3 walk-in vaccination sites for Bayanihan, Bakunahan 2
Walk-in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination is now available in three different sites around Marikina city as part of the second phase of the National Vaccination Days campaign on Dec. 15-17.
Marikina Elementary School (MES) in Barangay Santa Elena offers first dose vaccination of AstraZeneca and second dose of Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Sputnik brands.
MES will operate from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 15 and 17 and from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 16.
Meanwhile, Marikina Sports Center (MSC) in Barangay Santo Niño and the Marikina Hotel and Convention Center (MHCC) in Barangay Concepcion Dos will cater to COVID-19 booster shots.
MSC will be open on Dec. 15 and Dec. 17 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. to administer Moderna and Pfizer booster shots to those who have been fully vaccinated with Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, and Sputnik brand vaccines for at least 180 days or, if vaccinated with J&J Janssen brand vaccine, at least 90 days.
MHCC will be open on Dec. 16 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. to administer Moderna booster shots to those who have been fully vaccinated with Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, and Sputnik brand vaccines for at least 180 days or, if vaccinated with J&J Janssen brand vaccine, at least 90 days.

COVID-19 booster vaccines are only available to the following vaccine priority groups: medical frontliners (A1), senior citizens (A2), persons with comorbidities (A3), frontline personnel and essential workers (A4), and indigent population (A5).
This second phase of the National Vaccination Days campaign is aimed towards administering booster vaccines and second doses according to the Department of Health (DOH).
The first phase of the campaign which ran from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1 resulted in about 8 million administered vaccine doses.
