Kim Seon-ho, Shin Min-a, Lee Jung-jae top poll on Korean TV stars who shined in 2021
“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” stars Kim Seon-ho and Shin Min-a, and “Squid Game” lead Lee Jung-jae have been chosen as the Korean TV actors who shined in 2021.
Gallup Korea released its year-end poll on the Person of the Year in each field including entertainment and sports.
For the Korean TV actors who shined in 2021 poll, Gallup Korea conducted a survey from Nov. 5 to 28 among 1,700 respondents aged 13 and above nationwide (except Jeju Island).
Kim Seon-ho was chosen as the No. 1 Korean TV actor who shined in 2021, garnering 7.8 percent.
Gallup Korea noted that Kim Seon-ho made his debut in the play “New Boeing Boeing” in 2009. His drama debut was in “Good Manager” in 2017. His popularity soared in 2020 through the drama “Start-Up.” His next project was “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” which premiered last August.
In the same poll in 2020, actress Kim Hee-ae, star of the hit drama “The World of the Married,” took first place with 9.4 percent.
Kim Seon-ho’s co-star, actress Shin Min-a, and “Squid Game” star Lee Jung-jae tied for second place with 7.3 percent.
Popular actress Jun Ji-hyun of the dramas “Jirisan” and “Kingdom: Ashin of the North” grabbed fourth place with 5.5 percent.
“Now, We are Breaking Up” star Song Hye-kyo placed fifth with 5.2 percent.
