A manhunt operation conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 14, by the Marikina City Police Station (CPS) resulted in the arrest of two persons wanted for alleged theft, and two persons wanted for alleged child abuse.
The operation was conducted by the Marikina CPS as part of Manhunt Charlie and Oplan Pagtugis.
The arrested suspects were identified as Adel Kameson Matus, 26, a painter, from Brgy. Tumana, Marikina City, and Jerome Del Rosario P, 35, from Brgy. Banaba, San Mateo, Rizal.
Both Matus and Del Rosario were served warrants of arrest issued by Judge Maria Ella Cecilia Dimaandal Dumlao-Escalante of Metropolitan Trial Court (MTC) Branch 76, Marikina City, for violating Article 308 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC).
Arrested for alleged child abuse were identified by the police as Emil Dela Cruz V, 29, painter, from Brgy. Tumana, Marikina City, and Gemma Arandia C, 49, helper, from Brgy. Fortune, Marikina City.
Dela Cruz was given a warrant of arrest by Hon. Maria Beatrice Alvarez Caunan, the presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 75 in San Mateo, Rizal.
Meanwhile, Arandia was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Lorna Catris-Chua Cheng, presiding judge of RTC Branch 168, Marikina City.
Both Dela Cruz and Arandia were served warrants of arrest for violating the Anti-Child Abuse Law, the Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.
