A minor who was initially cited by the police for not wearing a face mask was arrested after dried marijuana leaves were found in his possession on Tuesday, Dec. 14, in Pasay City.
Col. Cesar Paday-os, Pasay City police chief, identified the suspect as Kyle San Juan,19, student, and a resident of Pasay City.
San Juan was referred to the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) following his arrest.
Paday-os said San Juan was arrested at about 2:30 a.m. along Decena St., Barangay 94, Pasay City.
He said patrolling policemen from Libertad Sub-Station were conducting routine patrol when they spotted San Juan roaming around and not wearing a face mask.
The city police chief said the policemen cited San Juan in violation of a city ordinance for not wearing a face mask. During a body search, a sachet of dried marijuana leaves weighing 2.8 grams and worth P336 was found in his possession.
Another minor, identified as Domel John Marino,18, was also arrested by the Pasay City police in possession of 4 grams of shabu amounting to P27,200 during buy bust operation.
Marino was arrested at about 12:30 a.m. along Ilang-ilang St., Barangay 184, Zone 19, Maricaban, Pasay City.
Another buy-bust operation was conducted by members of the SDEU and arrested Bryan Bacuitis, 24, in possession of 8.2 grams of shabu worth P55,760.
Bacuitis was arrested at about 2:20 a.m. along 133 P. Manahan St., Barangay 30, Zone 5, Pasay City.
Paday-os said the confiscated shabu from Marino and Bacuitis had an estimated market value of P82,960.
