Pasig City opens 6 sites for 2nd national vaccination drive


The Pasig City government will open six vaccination sites for the second phase of the National Vaccination Days from Dec. 15 to 17.

Four of the vaccination sites -- Pasig Mega Parking II in San Nicolas, Buting Elementary School in Buting, Sagad High school in Sagad, and Arcovia township in Ugong -- will cater to medical frontliners (A1), senior citizens (A2), persons with comorbidities (A3), frontline personnel and essential workers (A4), indigent population (A5), and the rest of the general population.

The Tanghalang Pasigueno events hall in San Nicolas and the Manggahan High School will accommodate the entire pediatric population.

COVID-19 booster shots will also be administered at Pasig Mega Parking II and Buting Elementary School using Moderna brand, Manggahan High School using Pfizer brand, Sagad High School offering Sinovac brand, and Arcovia township in Ugong giving AstraZeneca brand.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), the second phase of the National Vaccine Days will focus primarily on administering second doses and booster shots.

Booster shots are available to individuals belonging A1, A2, A3, A4, and A5 groups who have been fully vaccinated for at least six months or fully vaccinated for at least three months if administered with Johnson & Johnson “Janssen” brand vaccine.

The first phase of the national vaccination drive from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1 saw the administration of about 8 million COVID-19 vaccine doses.
